About us
A Brief Introduction and History.
Who are we?
What do we do to help Veterans and their famlies in our community?

The Largs Branch Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS) was resurrected in April 2014 after a publication in the Local Press proposed that interested people should attend a meeting in J G Sharp's Pub, Nelson Street, Largs. A good turnout assured the future of the Branch which has since gone from strength to strength. We have a growing Associate Membership who are not ex forces. Our ideal is 'Service not Self'.
Most people associate the Royal British Legion
with Remembrance Day and Poppy selling in November; whilst these activities are
the mainstay of the RBLS, the other important function is to generate income
from fundraising events within the town throughout the year. The monies raised
benefit Scottish Charities which are chosen annually by the Membership of the
Branch. As an organisation we are here to support local serving armed forces
personnel, veterans and their dependants emotionally, socially and
financially.
